Vintage (1973) Avon Leather or Oland Cologne Glass Pheasant Decanter

Vintage (1973) Avon Glass Pheasant Decanter from Leather Cologne or Oland After Shave. The pheasant measures approximately 7.5 inches long, 6.5 inches tall, and 2.72 inches wide. The body is made of brown (or "deep amber") glass, while , the head is made of plastic and is colored (painted?) in green, gold and red to match a male pheasant's actual colorings.
We do not know the exact date of manufacture for this item, but from our reaearch we've learned that Avon only sold these bottles from 1972 to 1974, so we're
GUESSING
these are of 1973 vintage.
Regardless, this is a great looking (and great smelling 😄) bottle that would look good on display in any room - especially a den or man-cave! Buy one today!
Condition
is Very Good, Used. We have 2 of these for sale. The only issues we found are:
- one of the birds has a thin, straight line across his chest that looks like a manufacturing flaw, but could be a scratch; and
- the other has a tiny nick / chip in his right wing where, it appears, the pheasant was banged against a hard surface, which chipped the glass.
We found no other flaws in either bird. See the last two photos attached to this post for a MAGNIFIED view of this issue.
