Rare Wooden Carousel Thimble Stand with Pin Cushion and (5) Thimbles

Description

This is a rare two-tiered wooden thimble stand and pin cushion with five vintage thimbles.  It stands approximately 7 ¾” in height and 6” in diameter and features fifteen thimble holders and a velveteen pin cushion.  This unmarked dark wooden carousel-shaped stand sits on three wooden feet, is solid and sturdy and displays fine craftsmanship and a beautiful patina.  The five thimbles range in size from ¾” to 1” in height and are made of a variety of metals and one made of celluloid.  This vintage thimble stand is in very good condition with the exception of minor wear and some discoloration on the base.  The five thimbles are in fair condition with wear and some discoloration.  Despite these few flaws this is a unique vintage sewing notions organizer.
