Snap Vents are popular options in motorcycle windshields and fairing.  They are also very popular in aeronautical applications. They are a wonderful thing, allowing fresh air to blow on hot days. Made of polycarbonate, these vents should provide 20+ years of service.
FITS:
Each snapvent is designed to fit in a 3-1/4" diameter hole.
INSTALLATION TIPS:
Custom Installation requires cutting a 3-1/4" hole in whatever you are going to mount this in.  Be
very careful
not to cut the hole too large.  If you cut the hole too big, the vent will not snap in like it should you will have effectively ruined whatever you were going to put the vent in.
If you are working with a plastic windshield, here is a tip that I learned from Craig Vetter.  Slowly and very carefully cut a 3-1/16" diameter hole in the shield.  Then find a drinking glass with a little taper, the right diameter. Wrap it with sand paper and enlarge the hole by twirling the glass, sanding away until the new vent fits properly. This, by the way, is a very good method to finish enlarging the hole as it makes it perfectly round.
