She was one of four ships in the
Matson lines "White Fleet" which included SS Monterey, SS Malolo, and SS Mariposa.
It is shrink wrapped to protect it from damage (you can see it in the photo) and has preservation tips included in the label on the back along with an extensive history of the vessel.
Please note that
it
is from an old black and white photo that looks slightly grainier than the small photo seen here,
it is still a very nice historical photo.
The white sticker in the upper corner is removable from the shrinkwrap.

Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using an archival photo adhesive and cannot easily be removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo. If you want to use a larger frame and mat and you can't find an experienced framer who knows how to do it, contact us and we can provide information explaining how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10" frame and displaying the image as is.
