This is a good quality hand printed silver halide photograph, (not a digital inkjet print), custom printed in a darkroom from a copy negative from the original, archivally developed in chemistry on Ilford 'Pearl' surface semi-matte surface black & white photographic paper,
cropped, and mounted on a single dark 8x10 inch backing board **which is included as part of the print (see photo)
, with caption, history, and photography information on the back of the Haleiwa Hotel's driftwood bridge and the Anahulu Bridge near the Haleiwa Hotel 1920's, North Oahu, Hawaii. The Haleiwa Hotel and bridges are famous historic landmarks in the area, it is not shown in this photo.
The print is shrink wrapped to protect it from damage, has photography and preservation tips, and historical information included in the label on the back. It was also featured in our twice award winning photo

This photo is printed on non-glossy semi-matte 'pearl' surface paper and the photo offered has more gray tones, deep, richer blacks, less contrast, and has the unique look of a real silver halide gelatin print, which has a different tonal range and brightness than you may see on your individual computer screen. You may be able to see small imperfections on larger images as these are printed by hand 'as is' and are not retouched. It is printed on 8x10 inch paper from a copy negative and margins may be slightly trimmed. **When it is cropped and attached to the single mat 8x10" backing board you will be able to see the dark backing board around the borders of the print. It makes the print look like there is a margin around the edges of the photo which you can see here.
Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using an archival photo adhesive and cannot easily be removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo. If you want to use a larger frame and mat and you can't find an experienced framer who knows how to do it, contact us and we can provide information explaining how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10" frame and displaying the image as is.  We want to make sure you know exactly what you are buying so we hope our thorough description of these photos will answer all your questions before you purchase.
