surface lithographic paper,
cropped, shrink wrapped (you can see it on the sample print), and mounted on a single black 8x10 inch backing board and
the white margin is
included as part of the print which you can see here (see photo)
and is
not
a mat board cutout
with caption and photography information on the back of the Pali ridge and Kaneohe, circa 1930's. If you notice you'll see that there were hardly any buildings. It was from a Territory of Hawaii and military aerial survey and is shrink wrapped to protect it from damage and has preservation tips and caption information included in the label on the back.
Please be aware that this photo is unlike newer computer digital prints because the original was shot on older black and white film and printed from a copy negative and when enlarged will look grainier. There is a removable sticker on the shrink wrap. It has the unique look of a
black and white
photo, and is a very nice historic and artistic print.
It would make a great gift for someone who likes this area or historic images of Hawaii. They are popular reasonably priced decorations for restaurants, offices, homes, or stores where people can see them.

**When it is attached to the single mat 8x10" backing board you will be able to see the backing board around the borders of the print. It makes the print look like there is a margin at the edges of the photo which you can see here and it not a mat board cut out.
Prints are permanently mounted to the acid free backing board using an archival photo adhesive and cannot easily be removed from the backing board without damaging the photo. An 11x14 inch frame (or larger) with a custom cut mat from a frame shop or art store is the suggested way to display this photo. If you want to use a larger frame and mat and you can't find an experienced framer who knows how to do it, contact us and we can provide information explaining how it can be done. This is recommended for best visual and artistic impact in displaying this photo, although many people are happy using a standard 8x10" frame and displaying the image as is.
